Sync Palm with Outlook

When you buy a new palm, it becomes necessary to sync all the important data from your Outlook account on your P.C. When you sync palm with outlook, it  ensures that you will have access to you mails, tasks, contacts, notes and such other things on your palm and a also your computer. This makes things easier and will enable you to have access to your Outlook account when you are on the move or whether you are at home. Here is the step by step instruction to sync palm with outlook.
Instructions

1. You need to install two programs on your computer as a part of the syncing process. These are HotSync Manager and Palm Desktop. You can find these tools easily on the utilities disk that came with your palm. If you do not have the disk, you can download these tools from Palm’s official website. The download link for this is http://kb.palm.com.
   
   
2. Then you need to get Palm Outlook 2007 conduit. This is not present on the utilities disk and you will have to download this from the official website of Palm. The download link for this program is http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/solutions/article/8716_en.html. You need to extract the files and install the program on your P.C.
   
   
3. After all the required programs are installed on your P.C, you will need to restart the computer. When the computer is ready for use, connect your palm device with your system using the USB data cable that came with your purchase.
   
   
4. Now launch HotSync. You can launch this from your computer or your palm. Both will have the same effect and you are ready to sync palm with outlook. You can launch the app on palm by pressing the button that is dedicated for HotSync. Soon after the launch of the program, a window will pop open and the process of syncing palm with outlook will begin.
   
   
5. When the synchronisation is complete, make sure that you check whether all the data that you wanted have been transferred.

Tips and warnings

You have to make sure not to connect the palm to your computer before installing all the application required for synchronisation. That is HotSync, Palm desktop and Palm Outlook 2007 conduit. If you do not do so, the synchronisation will not be possible and you will need to uninstall Palm Outlook 2007 conduit and then install it once again to synchronise all the data properly.
