How to Synchronize Tasks With Windows Mobile
- Today, Windows Mobile Smart Phones come packed with synchronization software so that they can be used with computer system with ease. The user should follow a certain series of steps in order to synchronize tasks with Windows mobile.
Set up of ActiveSync on System (Windows XP)
- Firstly, the phone should be connected to the Windows XP system using USB cable. ActiveSync generally senses the connection automatically and begin working.
- You can click on “Next” when it appears on the computer screen.
- A box would appear on the screen that contains different items like Tasks, Contacts, Email, Calendar, and Notes. Each item has a corresponding check box and you should place a tick against the one that needs to be synchronized. Since here we are synchronizing tasks, thus you should place a tick on “Tasks”.
- Now click on “Finish” and you are done with the job of synchronizing the system and your mobile phone.
Set up WMDC on Windows 7 and Windows Vista
- In order to synchronize tasks with Windows mobile you have to connect the phone using USB sync cable with the system running either Windows Vista or Windows 7. “Windows Mobile Device Center Home” would appear on the screen.
- You can see an option saying, “Set up your Device”. You have to click on it.
- Again, you have to place a check on the check box against “Tasks” option. If you want to synchronize any other options, simply place a check against it. If you want to bypass the process of Exchange Server Configuration then click on “Skip”.
- Now you can choose Device Name and enter the same in your system. Options for creating shortcut to WMDC are also possible and you can avail this benefit by simply clicking on the required check box.
- Lastly, click on “Set up” and you are ready to synchronize mobile and system running Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
