However, if you do not want to use this feature then there is nothing to worry. Today, the option of disable Windows Synchronization is possible and anyone can do it with little knowledge.
  • The feature can be disabled in two ways. On one hand, you can disable sync partnerships while on the other you can disable windows sync center.

Ending Sync Partnerships

  • Go to Start logo and click on it. Now you have to type “Sync Center” in the search box and hit “Enter”.
  • In the left column of the Sync center users can easily view the list of sync partnerships by clicking on “View Sync Partnerships”.
  • Once you have located the particular sync partnership that needs to be disabled, you should right click on it. On doing so, you can find an option of “Delete” or “End Sync Partnership”. You can click on this option and you can remove as many sync partnerships as you want to.

Disabling Windows Sync Center

    • Go to the Start logo and click on it. You have to type “Windows Explorer” in the search box and hit “Enter”.
    • You can see primary “(C :)” drive on the left side of Windows Explorer and you have to click on it. On the right hand, side of Windows Explorer a list of folders can be seen. Here you have to double click the folder titled “Windows”. A long list of folders would appear on the screen and you have to double click the one titled “System 32”.
    • Once you open the “System 32” folder, you would be presented with a long list of files.  Here you have to search for application called “mobsync.exe” by scrolling down the screen. This is actually the application name of Windows Sync Center. You have to right click on this file and click “Copy”.
    • Again you have to click on” (C :)” folder present on the left side of Windows Explorer. Now you can find an option saying “New Folder” at the top. Firstly, you should give a name to this folder. Make sure the name of the folder is such that you do not forget it. One of the best options is to give name “SyncCopy”. Right click on the folder and click paste.
    • You can follow the above steps for reaching to “monsync.exe” in the “System 32” folder. Right click and click on delete.
    • Many times, it happens that users are denied from deleting the file. In such a case, you should have permission to make all sorts of changes.
    • It is not wise to delete “mobsync.exe” completely from your system when you are trying to disable Windows Synchronization.
